Class of 1994 Fast Facts
- There were 570 members of the Central High's 1994 graduating class.
- 44 seniors were inducted Central's Hall of Fame. At the time, it was the largest number of inductees ever. The inductees included 14 for academic achievement, 13 for athletic achievement, and 17 for their service to school and community.
- On March 9, 1994, the school newspaper, "The Tiger," observed its 100th birthday.
- The class theme was "Unforgettable '94." The theme was inspired by Natalie Cole's remake of "Unforgettable."
- Then-Representative Blanche M. Lambert (now Lincoln) delivered the keynote address at the Class of 1994 Baccalaureate.
- There were 76 Honor Graduates.
- The Newspaper Staff, in protest of limiting students' first amendment rights, printed Clandestine Nation. The publication was privately funded, edited, and printed. The first issue was May 13, 1994.
- 1994 was the 40th Anniversary of the landmark case Brown v. Board of Education. "Good Morning America" interviewed several members of the Class of 1994 for the anniversary and the release of Little Rock Nine Member Melba Pattillo-Beals' book, Warriors Don't Cry.
- "A Psalm of Life" by Henry Wadsworth Long Fellow was read at the Class of 1994 Baccalaureate.
- The theme for the school yearbook, Pix '94, was "The Flame Still Burns."
